Is DAC open on holidays?
DAC is closed on New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. All other holiday schedule changes are posted at least 7 days in advance in the club, on the website, and on the DAC Facebook page.

What is included in the Silver Membership at DAC?
The Silver Membership includes access to the full fitness floor: strength training equipment, free weights, cardio equipment, racquetball courts, and the indoor track. Best for members comfortable with the gym environment who want straightforward fitness access.
What is included in the Gold Membership at DAC?
The Gold Membership includes everything in Silver, plus indoor and outdoor pool access, unlimited HydroMassage, and unlimited tanning.
What is included in the Platinum Membership at DAC?
The Platinum Membership is DAC’s most popular and comprehensive option. It includes:
- Full fitness floor (strength, cardio, free weights, functional training)

Can members bring a guest to DAC?
Yes. Guest passes are available for purchase at the club for $35 per day.
Does DAC offer discounts for military, first responders, or teachers?

Does DAC accept health insurance for gym membership?
Yes. DAC participates in several insurance-subsidized wellness programs. Qualifying members may pay little or nothing out of pocket. Accepted programs include:

Bring your insurance ID card, your program code, and a photo ID to the club to activate. DAC bills your insurance provider directly.
Does DAC offer short-term or 3-month memberships?

Does DAC offer membership packages that include personal training?

Can I rent a locker at DAC?
Yes. Monthly locker rentals are available: $25/month (full locker) or $10/month (half locker). Daily-use lockers are also available — bring your own lock and remove it after each visit.
Can I charge purchases to my DAC member account?

Fitness Floor & General Facilities
What equipment does DAC have?
DAC’s fitness floor includes strength training machines, free weights, cardio equipment, and functional training equipment and spaces. Additional facilities include an indoor track, racquetball courts, turf areas, and outdoor pickleball courts.
Does DAC have a dress code?
Yes. Appropriate athletic attire and closed-toe footwear are required at all times. Jeans, open-toed shoes, and clothing with offensive language or images are not permitted. Sports bras and tanks are acceptable; please avoid fully exposed midriffs.
Do I need to check in every time I visit DAC?
Yes. All members must check in at the front desk upon arrival at every visit.
Is outside personal training allowed at DAC?
No. Unauthorized personal training by outside parties is not permitted.
Does DAC have a smoothie bar?
Yes. DAC has an on-site smoothie bar. See the Hours section for Smoothie Bar hours.
Does DAC have a sauna?
Yes. DAC has both a dry sauna and a steam sauna.
Does DAC have racquetball courts?
Yes. Racquetball courts are included with Silver, Gold, and Platinum memberships.
Does DAC have pickleball courts?
Yes. DAC has outdoor pickleball courts, included with the Platinum Membership.
Does DAC have an indoor walking or running track?
Yes. DAC features an indoor walk/run track, included with all membership levels.
Does DAC have a whirlpool?
Yes. DAC has a whirlpool as part of its aquatic facilities.
Does DAC have a rewards or loyalty program?
Yes. Members earn points for daily check-ins, group fitness class participation, beverage purchases, and booking personal training sessions. Points can be redeemed for rewards. Ask at the front desk to get started.
Can I get help learning how to use the equipment at DAC?

Does DAC require registration for group fitness classes or team training?
Yes. Registration is required for all group fitness classes and team training sessions to ensure adequate space and equipment.

Does DeSoto Athletic Club have a pool?
Yes. DAC has both an indoor and an outdoor pool.
What is the indoor pool like at DAC?
DAC’s indoor pool is heated and open year-round. It features a 25-meter, 4-lane lap pool available during normal business hours.
What is the outdoor pool like at DAC?
DAC’s outdoor pool is a 25-meter, 8-lane lap pool open year-round and suitable for all ages and fitness levels. It is staffed with lifeguards from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Does DAC offer aqua aerobics classes?
Yes. Aqua Aerobics classes are offered — low-impact, high-energy workouts in the water for all fitness levels. DAC also offers Hydro Pilates as part of its Super Active Seniors programming.

Yes. DAC offers programming specifically designed for older adults: Senior Yoga, Super Active Seniors, Zumba Gold, Aqua Aerobics, and Hydro Pilates.
Personal Training
Does DAC offer personal training?
Yes. DAC offers private personal training, semi-private personal training, and group team training with certified personal trainers.

What personal training options does DAC offer?
- 30-minute private sessions — available in monthly packages (4, 8, or 12 sessions)
- 1-hour private sessions — available in packages of 12, 24, or 36 sessions (sessions never expire once purchased)
- Semi-private personal training — small group training in packages of 4, 8, or 12 sessions/month (3-month minimum commitment; includes unlimited team training)
- 30-Day Personal Training Experience — includes semi-private sessions, unlimited team training, two Styku body scans, and personal trainer check-ins (valued at $249)

What is a Starting Point Session at DAC?
A Starting Point Session is included for every new DAC member. You will meet with a Certified Personal Trainer to discuss your goals, complete a Styku 3D Body Scan to establish your baseline, and undergo a Functional Movement Screen to identify imbalances and injury risks. Come dressed to move.
What is a Functional Movement Screen?
A Functional Movement Screen is conducted by a Certified Personal Trainer using five movement patterns to identify asymmetries, imbalances, and potential injury risks. It provides a baseline and helps your trainer build a safer, more personalized program.
Is there a drop-in rate for team training at DAC?
Yes. Team Training sessions are $10 per drop-in workout.
Does DAC use MyZone heart rate tracking?
Yes. DAC uses MyZone technology to display real-time effort data on screens throughout the facility. MyZone tracks workout intensity using heart rate zones and Myzone Effort Points (MEPs). Ask a staff member for details.
Styku 3D Body Scanning
Does DAC offer body composition scanning?
Yes. DAC uses Styku 3D body scanning technology to measure and track body composition.
What is a Styku 3D Body Scan?
The Styku 3D Health Screening and Body Scan is a 35-second full-body scan that generates a 3D image of your body and extracts measurements including waist, hip, thigh, and body fat percentage with medical-grade precision. It allows you to visually track how your body changes over time.
Is the Styku body scan included in my DAC membership?
A complimentary monthly Styku scan is included with the Platinum Membership and all personal training packages. Single scans are also available for purchase — contact the club at (662) 349-0403 for pricing.
Recovery Center
Does DAC have a recovery center?
Yes. DAC has a dedicated Recovery Center offering multiple modalities for post-workout recovery and general wellness.

Yes. DAC has 5 HydroMassage beds. HydroMassage uses powerful waves of heated water to target specific areas of the body for a personalized massage experience — fully clothed. Included with Gold and Platinum Memberships; also available a la carte.
Does DAC have a Cryo Lounge?
Yes. The CryoLounge+ offers targeted cold therapy for soreness and aches, complemented by warmth in other areas for a balanced recovery experience. Included with the Platinum Membership; also available a la carte.
What is the Relaxation Pod at DAC?
The RelaxSpace Wellness Pod is designed to reduce stress and support muscle recovery through mindfulness and relaxation. Included with the Platinum Membership; also available a la carte.
Does DAC have Normatec compression therapy?
Yes. DAC has 4 sets of Hyperice Normatec Compression Sleeves. Normatec uses dynamic air compression to massage the legs, reduce soreness, improve circulation, and accelerate recovery. Sessions are 20 minutes. Available a la carte in single or multi-session packages — contact the club for current pricing.
Does DAC offer assisted stretching?
Yes. Advanced Stretching sessions are performed by certified stretching coaches. Each session is approximately 20 minutes. Single and multi-session packages are available; sessions do not expire. Contact (662) 349-0403 for current pricing.
Does DAC have Theragun?
Yes. DAC has 6 Theragun Percussive Massage units by Therabody available in the Recovery Center for member use.
Is the recovery center included in my DAC membership?
HydroMassage is included with Gold and Platinum Memberships. CryoLounge and the Relaxation Pod are included with Platinum. Normatec and Advanced Stretching are available a la carte. Platinum members receive 10% off all recovery services.
Tanning
Does DAC have tanning beds?
Yes. DAC has both laydown and stand-up tanning beds available.
What tanning equipment does DAC have?
- 5 Ergoline Passion 40/3 laydown tanning beds (12-minute maximum exposure)
- 1 Ergoline 7200 HP Stand Up bed with optional red light therapy (9-minute maximum exposure)
Is tanning included in my DAC membership?

Does the DAC stand-up tanning bed have red light therapy?
Yes. The Ergoline 7200 HP Stand Up bed includes optional red light therapy during tanning sessions.
Childcare / Nursery
Does DAC offer childcare while I work out?
Yes. DAC offers childcare (nursery) so members can exercise without worry. There is a two-hour limit per visit per child.
